Intimate UC Botanical Garden Wedding, Berkeley / Berkeley Wedding Photographer
Back in the 1940s Emma’s grandparents were engaged in this very garden! I love that her and Andrew’s throwback vintage look is a nod to that family history in a way. The pair celebrated their marriage with less than 40 guests on a beautiful spring day here in Berkeley. The UC Botanical Garden is full of stunning portrait corners- perfect for plant lovers! My favorite parts of this venue are the greenhouses and the jaw-dropping redwood amphitheater that serves as the ceremony location. We could have taken portraits all day long, but I’m not about to turn someone’s wedding day into a photoshoot!
Emma and Andrew’s reception felt like a lively holiday dinner party. Instead of the usual DJed dance floor and bouquet toss, these two decided to create a fun lounge atmosphere to mingle with their perfectly numbered group of guests. Moonshine shots were passed around, homemade “Funny Cake” was served, and a Donkey Kong tournament was hosted up on a big projector. So much laughter, joy and warmth!
