Modern Elegant Redwood Forest Wedding at The Island Farm, San Gregorio / Justine and Keith

If you know me, you know I’m always on a quest to find the most amazing forest wedding venues. The Island Farm is one of my new favorites as of this season. Tucked away in the hills near Half Moon Bay, it has a special sense of being like a hidden treasure. But its not just a gorgeous forest. This place is rich with history, too.

Justine and Keith gathered their bi-coastal loved ones together under the huge redwoods for an epic wedding. The modern decor contrasted with the woodland setting in a way I truly haven’t seen done before. The destination wedding was an interactive experience. Guests could wander through the many paths, enjoy a number of different live musicians throughout the day, hail a roving oyster shucker, and choose from several lounge areas to relax under trees. We were lucky enough to sneak up to the farm’s hilltop to catch a breathtaking sunset over Half Moon Bay. There was just a touch of fog as the sun went down, so the sky had an incredible ethereal glow. The cows even came to watch us as we ran around chasing the last of the sun.

Overall, it was a whirlwind even with three of us photographing this stunning wedding. Shoutout to Elena and Savannah for their hard work!
