Margaret and Jason // Casual Panther Beach Engagement Photography Session // Santa Cruz Candid Wedding Photographer
Margaret and Jason met me for a drink to recap on life over the past few months. I loved getting to know them more as they shared about their story, families and goals. Having hangout time before a photo session is a great way to relax and set the tone for a fun and easy shoot. We wandered north of Santa Cruz to my favorite beach where beautiful rocky cliffs meet crashing waves. I followed Margaret and Jason around while they explored the cliffs. I also sent them off to wander without me for a little while so they could enjoy some alone time on the beach. We all relished the most spectacular sunset at the end of the session.
Aside from exploring an incredible corner of nature, I had a great time building a connection with Margaret and Jason. I made it a priority to give them opportunities to create new memories and I had a great time in the process. After all, I want these photos to be part of a fun and meaningful memory for Margaret and Jason- not just portraits in pretty places.
Looking over the photos again, I’m not totally convinced that these two realize just how sweet they are together. Cheers to these high school sweethearts!
