California Redwood Forest Elopement

Hannah and Aleksa met during high school in Georgia and have been together ever since! They became engaged and ultimately decided to have an intimate California redwood forest elopement up in the Monterey Bay. We worked together to plan the perfect location and a fun experience. Even though COVID-19 changed their original plans, the redwood forest made for the most peaceful atmosphere for their tiny wedding!

Hannah and Aleksa brought a pop-up tent with them so that they could get ready right in the forest. They took turns using the tent and avoided seeing each other before they were ready. After, they shared a sweet first look in the same place where they later had their ceremony. Hannah was absolutely stunning in her flowing gown and long cape veil! I loved the way her cape veil looked all spread out in the scene of the forest. The two shared a sweet first look together and showed each other all the details of the outfits they had been planning for months.

Aleksa’s parents gifted the couple a really neat count-up clock for the two to activate immediately after the ceremony. It counts up forever from the moment the ring is pulled. That way, Aleksa and Hannah can look at the clock to see exactly how long they have been married, down to the second!

After taking some time to enjoy the beautiful light and fragrance of the forest, we all headed out toward the coast for a few more photos. I asked these two how they were going to spend the rest of their evening and they gave the best answer: they were going to hit up Domino’s Pizza in their wedding clothing and bring it back for a relaxing night in at their hotel!
